All I can say is wow....I tried this place a few months back and the quality of the food wasn't too much to brag about. I'm not sure if it's a new cook or I just went on a bad day but this time I had a really great experience. I got 1/2 lb of snow crab, 1/2 of shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage. I went with the wet Cajun seasoning this time so I could try a new flavor. Since I was the only one there, the food came in like 15 mins. It was great!!!!!!!! The sausage wasn't soft like last time. The shrimp and crab was cooked to perfection. I didn't have to use any tools to get the crab out. The potatoes and corn was also perfect. I have literally no complaints. The total was $27 & totally worth it! Definitely returning!
I love going all over the world to try crawfish so when I found this spot I had to try it. We drove a hour just to check this place out. The prices are amazing and it was worth the drive. When you are seated they bring Cajuan popcorn, which is a nice touch to differ from other seafood places. I ordered 1 1/2 lbs of crawfish with Cajuan and old bay seasoning. very tasty.
Was worried about the fried from the reviews but found then to be unfounded the fried dish was fresh crisp and not greasy at all
Out-of-towner here. Came here in April after an interview for a nursing job at Duke, and although I didn't get the job, this place totally made up for it (not really, but it was pretty dang good)! I got a bag of peeled and deveined shrimp with all the sauces combined. In California, we have a restaurant called "The Boiling Crab" with a similar saucy-seafood-in-a-bag concept, but unlike The Saucy Crab, you can't order the shrimp already peeled. I loved not having to work to eat my food, and I was even provided a FORK so I didn't have to get my hands messy. As someone accustomed to wearing bibs at these kinds of places, this amazed me to no end. Also I thought I'd mention that this was my first time trying hush puppies, EVER, and I was not disappointed.
